Tanzim four-for rattles Nepal top-order POTM Highlights T20WC 2024

Tanzim Hasan Shakib's four-wicket haul helped Bangladesh restrict Nepal to a modest total in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.

Nepal, who opted to bat first, lost their top three batsmen inside the powerplay as Tanzim wreaked havoc with his pace and accuracy.

Player of the Match Tanzim finished with figures of 4-17 from his four overs, while Nasum Ahmed and Shoriful Islam picked up two wickets each.

Nepal eventually managed to post 126-8 from their allotted 20 overs, with Dipendra Singh Airee top-scoring with 32.

In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target with ease, reaching 127-3 in just 14.4 overs.

Najmul Hossain Shanto led the way with an unbeaten 54, while Shakib Al Hasan and Afif Hossain contributed 22 and 21 respectively.

The win takes Bangladesh to the top of Group B with two wins from two matches, while Nepal remain winless after two games.
